One smarter crate.Many possibilities.
An insulated, reusable storage concept for the gap between harvest and sale. Designed around local fabrication, passive thermal buffering and practical visibility.
Engineered to preserve.
PCM at the core
EvaCRATE.
Built around
the harvest.
Our first product concept combines a protective shell, insulation, a PCM thermal battery and a low-power monitoring module.
PROTOTYPE · NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR RETAIL- Intended use
- Short-term post-harvest produce storage
- Thermal approach
- Passive PCM buffer + insulated shell
- Prototype shell
- Moisture-resistant plywood
- Insulation concept
- High-density polyurethane foam
- Heat distribution
- Aluminium fin assembly
- Monitoring concept
- Temperature + relative humidity
- Deployment focus
- Farm-gate and local micro-hubs
- Capacity / dimensions / price
- To be finalised after validation
Design specifications are subject to revision through prototype testing.
Small hubs.
Local connections.
Farm gate
Harvest and handle produce with care.
Local micro-hub
A proposed shared storage point using EvaCRATE units.
Market
Retrieve produce and plan the next step.
The proposed micro-hub approach places storage closer to growers through local operators and collection points.
Pricing, capacity, operating procedures and availability will be tested with users. This is a deployment model under development, not an active service network.

Agricultural prototype
Refine the core crate for fruit and vegetable handling, with crop-specific trials and reliable operating procedures.
Field-ready iteration
Use thermal, usability and durability evidence to improve materials, recharge arrangements and monitoring.
New applications
Explore other thermal-storage uses only after application-specific engineering, safety and regulatory validation. No medical or seafood product is currently offered.
A few practical details.
Can I buy an EvaCRATE now?
EvaCRATE is at prototype stage and is not offered for retail purchase through this site. Use the contact page to prepare a pilot, research or commercial enquiry.
Is it a replacement for a cold room?
It is being developed as a thermal buffer for a specific post-harvest gap. It is not presented as an equivalent to controlled refrigeration or as a suitable solution for every crop.
Can our organisation participate in testing?
We welcome conversations with growers, agricultural organisations, researchers and potential field partners. Pilot scope, responsibilities and availability need to be agreed directly with the team.
Let’s grow something
that lasts.
A better post-harvest future starts with the right conversations.
